The Good News House Committee is a non-profit group affiliated with Habitat for Humanity.Its purpose is to build a house each year for a deserving family in WashtenawCounty.The 21 local churches listed below have joined together to rehabilitate two houses in 2009.
As sponsoring organizations, each congregation is responsible for securing its share of the money and volunteer support which will be needed to complete these renovations.Each organization must also provide a representative to the Good News House Steering Committee, which meets on the third Monday of each month to coordinate the many and varied tasks involved in the renovation projects and in coordinating with the Huron Valley Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
