The Good News House is a Habitat for Humnity project in Ann Arbor, Michigan

While there are various tasks for which volunteers are needed from time to time– such as phoning, mailing, and planning special events - the largest number of volunteers needed in the “support category” are those willing to provide lunches and/or refreshments for the house volunteers.

A lunch volunteer may work alone or with one or two others to provide a food for about 15 people.  This lunch should be delivered to the build site to serve at 12:00 noon or brought earlier in the day and stored in coolers.  The goal is to provide a simple, nutritious meal (click here for menu ideas and other lunch information).  Lunch volunteers are encouraged to stay and eat lunch with the construction volunteers.  Lunchtime is a fun part of the workday and lunch providers are always very warmly received!

If you are interested in helping in any of these ways, you may contact the representative from your local church (see "Links" for local church contact information) or Fran Lyman, Good News House Lunch Coordinator.
